A couple of months ago, Burke Holland took the wraps off Telerik Developer Network v2. This was a massive improvement to the site and introduced our user group program and Telerik Developer Experts. Since then, we’ve been working hard to provide an update.
Today, I am very pleased to announce a whole new community section of the Telerik Developer Network. This is your one-stop-shop for all things relating to the developer community and Telerik. Here you’ll find information on the Developer Relations team, our User Group Support program, outreach programs, and – the newest addition – the Telerik Developer Experts program.
The Telerik Developer Expert program recognizes individuals who have a deep understanding of one or more Telerik technologies and take the time to share that knowledge with members of the developer community. These are folks like you who are speaking at conferences, writing blog posts, contributing to open source projects, or assisting other developers through our community forums and sites.
Today, we’re launching the Telerik Developer Experts program, featuring 31 developers in 13 countries. These developers are working hard to help others better understand our products and technologies.
This is just the beginning. As it grows, the Telerik Developer Experts program will feature more and more developers who know a great deal about products like the Telerik Platform, Kendo UI, and Sitefinity. Developers like you!
So, how does one becoming a Telerik Developer Expert?
The first step towards becoming a Telerik Developer Expert is to submit a nomination form to the program. We’re looking for developers who know a few things about Telerik products and are actively involved in the community. Once we receive your application, we’ll review it and reach out to have a chat with you about your activities. Don’t be embarrassed to nominate yourself. There’s no shame in that and we encourage it. If you’re awesome, please let us know!
Going forward, I encourage you to reach out and connect with a Telerik Developer Expert near you. Keep your eyes locked to the (new) Community section of TDN for more updates and news about upcoming events such as TelerikNext (More coming on this very soon!).
